My New Favorite Candle

I think I may have discovered a whole, new category of candles.

When I came across the Veise Beauty 2-in-1 Candle, I wondered…what else could a candle do besides smell good? Well now, your candle can also be your LOTION. I did not believe this could be possible so I had to try it for myself.

Just to backtrack, I love candles and I actually PACK THEM IN MY SUITCASE. Not many people do this. But have you ever traveled and arrived at your hotel hoping to relax…only to be stuck in a room that smells old and funky? This has happened to me on several occasions, and I’m sure it’s happened to you too. Between relaxing at home and clearing up the aroma in a room while traveling, I go through about 2 or 3 candles PER WEEK.

When my candle arrived in the mail, I took it out of the packaging and immediately noticed the wonderful aroma. Once I lit the candle, the fragrance was amplified. My living room was suddenly reminiscent of a relaxing spa, within minutes. The candle was already great on it’s own. So where does the lotion come from?

Instead of just traditional melted candle wax, the candle was instead slowly turning into a pool of essential oils, African Shea Butter, and organic raw beeswax. The website suggests to blow out the candle, and dip into the pool of oils, warning that a little goes a long way. This is true, but I would suggest that you wait about 5 minutes to let the candle cool a little bit. After 5 minutes, the oils are still very warm. Spreading it on various parts of my body, I found it to be simply therapeutic. I have keratosis pilaris (aka “Chicken Skin”) on the backs of my arms and front of my legs, which makes my skin prone to dryness, redness, and tiny bumps. This formula went a long way to provide much needed moisture!
